About the Chiropractor

 

Dr Lisa Newbould graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Chiropractic.

Previous to this Lisa has been involved in the health industry through her work as a Massage Therapist and a Fitness Instructor.

Lisa excels in the fields of orthopaedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation and has been heavily involved with the NSW Oztag Association both as a health consultant and a player. Her particular expertise is in the treatment of sports injuries and biomechanical problems as well as everyday aches and pains.

The Chiropractic techniques utilised by Lisa include manual Diversified adjusting, TPT (Terminal Point Technique), Myofascial Release Technique and Trigger Point Therapy.

Lisa has worked in a medical centre alongside many Medical Doctors over the past few years and has developed a working rapport within this industry. She has a passion for healthcare and is dedicated to helping people reach their full health care potential.

Mark Sorensen studied Science at UNSW with an Anatomy major, and Chiropractic at Sydney Chiropractic College (now Macquarie University) finishing in 1987 followed by a Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture in 1990. During the past 28 years Mark has run and directed a multi-disciplinary practice, Gymea Allied Health.

 

In his 30 years practising has had the opportunity to study a large variety of muscular skeletal techniques and incorporates these into his treatment. Mark’s main passion however is the importance of posture, postural awareness, strengthening of the body and its relationship to spine and joint degeneration.

 

He uses Diversified manual adjusting, Mulligans concept mobilisation (APA), Advanced dry needling (APA), Applied Kinesiology (AK), Soft tissue and trigger point therapy, Primal reflex release technique (PRRT), Biomesotherapy (saline injection)Kinesotaping, Frequency specific microcurrent (FSM) and Pilates, both one on one and group classes.
 

Mark has spent most of his life in the Sutherland Shire enjoying the parks, beaches and waterways. In his younger years he represented NSW in athletics which later developed into triathlon competition.

 

He continues to mountain bike and swims weekly and is also a keen sailor. The remainder of his time is dedicated to his family, his wife and adult sons.
